It spreads across fertile highlands on the south side of Lake Awasa in the Rift Valley with elevations from 1800 -2200 feet. These high elevations allow the coffee cherrie to ripen slower. This gives way for the cherries to develop deep, complex flavors and aromas that are signature characteristics of Sidama coffee.
